Thank you to the many thousands of Lib Dems who joined the million-plus People's Vote march last Saturday in London, whether you marched with him, or with your local People's Vote group.

I was there at the start, as we were assembling before I had to join my colleagues in the House of Lords for our debate. It was possible to hear marchers in Parliament Square in both Chambers and also in party HQ, and the wonderful shout that went up as the result of the vote on Saturday afternoon was just amazing!

The Tories have just called for a General Election on the 12th December - and we need to be ready.

This is our chance to kick Boris Johnson out of office, stop Brexit, and build a brighter future.

One of two things will happen now. Either MPs will vote for an election on Monday, or Corbyn and Johnson will do a dodgy deal to ram Brexit through and MPs will vote for a General Election in 2 weeks.

Lewis North has been chosen to be your Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Meon Valley at the next election.
Having grown up here, gone to local schools, and worked in local businesses, Lewis knows how to not only protect our local area, but allow it to develop and flourish.

Lewis, who is 28 years old, grew up in Meon Valley, attended local schools, and has worked for local farms and businesses.
He has lived, worked and studied in Belgium, Germany, Canada and the UK. He now works as an environmental policy advisor for the Environment Agency.

Lewis says, "I love this area and I will fight to give local people the representation they deserve in parliament. For too long our constituency has been neglected by the Conservatives. We need a fresh start and a fresh local face to get things moving forward."
