Liz Leffman joined fellow climate campaigners at the national climate change march in London on Saturday Dec 5th. The march was intended to lobby world leaders to take action at the Copenhagen summit to drastically reduce carbon emissions.
Liz said "Climate Change is potentially the biggest threat we face over the next generation. We can already see some of the dramatic effects with the recent floods. If we don't take real and lasting action now to cut our emissions drastically then we face a global catastrophe. It is crucial that we make a global stand on the environment."
Liz was joined by other Lib Dems, including party leader Nick Clegg, Euro MP, Catherine Bearder and other leading national figures from the party.
The Liberal Democrats have published ambitious plans to make Britain carbon - neutral by 2050, including radical investment in new technology and energy production and huge investment in clean public transport and insulation of buildings
